Scope Log #1


So as i said in my second devlog, I was starting to develop scope creep i was having so many ideas and i was saying i was gonna add so many things and procrastinating thinking those ideas and not focusing on actually working on my code.

so to solve this I've had to have a bit of a radical change and I've made a bit of a plan and I'm gonna put this plan down here so instead of continually thinking about it I will have put it in concrete here.

January - February plan:

1.) fix mesh collision (Deadline: end of jan start of feb)

2.)create interaction and UI modules for the "engine" I'm making for my game.(deadline: mid feb end of feb)

 these two modules would allow me to basically get to work on actually making the game instead of just making the engine for the game as then i could and for example the main interaction clicking on the elevator door button which would open the UI for switching floors.

As you can also see i have the bonus module of sound that is just a bonus module that id like to make by the end of Feb but if not its fine as I plan to do it in march/April.

and rly that's about it for concrete plans here is just a list of more things I would like to do but have no real plan when I wanna do them but I'm putting them here so I don't forget them but also don't procrastinate over them:

online multiplayer (Lan/Wan)

refining all of the code moving all the game related code out of the *engine* and putting all of the *engine* related code into the engine file

camera

main menu

loading screens

character customizer/ chooser
